Mercedes SLS AMG

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is a two-door coupé model from the German manufacturer of the same name. The particularity of this sports car is undoubtedly the opening of the so-called "butterfly" doors, based on the 300 SL model from the 1950s.

The ultimate sports AMG

With its performance, including a 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and its electronically controlled top speed of 317 km/h, the Mercedes AMG gives us the impression of flying over the asphalt and with its aggressive design, this bomb remains very impressive. With its sober and expressive interior that corresponds very well to its sporting use, the Mercedes SLS nevertheless has a rather imposing centre console because with this type of door used, it is the first element to be noticed.

Different versions of SLS

In the roadster version, the Mercedes SLS is equipped with a canvas hood, the only downside is that it takes more than 11 seconds to deploy, but on the other hand, this mechanism allows the car to drive at about 50 km/h during its opening/closing. The Mercedes AMG GT with its 591 horsepower and top speed of up to 320 km/h transports us from 0 to 100 in 3.7 seconds. One model that you will find exclusively in blue is the surprising Mercedes SLS AMG Electric Drive, with its four electric motors arranged in each wheel, it has a power of 751 horsepower and makes you jump from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.

The AMG at the Los Angeles Show 2013

The prestigious sportswoman is retiring from this show, this limited series produced in only 350 units definitively ends her career. The German manufacturer has announced that there will be a successor to the Mercedes SLS AMG, a smaller car with a powerful engine.
